Call Me Poupée was formed two years ago by singer/guitarist Poupee (formerly of Les Slotmachines) and multi-instumentalist Ken Fortrel (formerly of Les Secrétaires Volantes and Les Breastfeeders). They released a two song demo produced by Mingo L’Indien of Les Georges Leningrad which got massive college and national radio airplay.

Since the end of 2004, Call Me Poupée have played alongside such acts as Katerine, Eleni Mandell, Les Georges Leningrad, King Khan, We are Wolves, Dutchess Says, and the French band Les Prototypes. The duo has since been invited to numerous festivals including Les Francofolies de Montréal, Les Coups de Cœur Francophones, Osheaga, Pop Montreal and the MEG (Montreal Electronic Groove).
